Notes

My mother found one of her mother's old Christmas tablecloths going through holiday decorations this year.  While I didn't want it as a tablecloth, I thought it would make a nice tree skirt.  All I needed to do was slit it up one side, and did a quick rolled hem along the seam.  Looks fairly nice, and now I can put away the Christmas decorations knowing that it is done for next year.

1/1--Finished all the remaining points. Only needed a wee little bit of the fourth skein. Blocking tonight to wear to the dance.
12/31--finished 36 points. 36 to go.

12/25/10--Finished second 25% of section 4. Haven’t had time to block--dunno if I am going to or not. Looks like it’s going to add about 9” or so to the diameter. Might need to borrow some 60” cables to block the final project, as the projected circumference is over 16’ long. I’m going to need at least four 60” cables, along with some connectors. Don’t know if I have enough. Hopefully, I’ll take a picture tomorrow, even if I don’t manage to block it.
8/2/2010--Finished first 25% of section 4. 35” in diameter
5/27/2010--Started section 4 today. Doing chart D. Forgot to take a picture after finishing section 3…I’ll try to remedy that this weekend.
5/26/2010--Completed section 3. No time to block, but it is currently resting on 152” worth of cable, so it ought to block well tomorrow. Can’t wait to take a pic & see what it looks like. Knitting time: ~8 hours. Current diameter is 26”
5/17/2010--Started section 3 today. Doing chart B.
5/5/2010--finished section 2. Knitting time: ~ 3 hours. Current diameter is 15”
5/4/2010--finished to row 18 today.
5/2/2010--Started section 2 today. Doing chart C. Completed rows 1-6.
4/26/2010--Doing test swatch & clue 1 today. Test swatch blocked from ~2.5” square to a 3x4” rectangle. For Clue 1, I used chart D, as I hadn’t seen any other people do that one. Took about 90 minutes. Current diameter is 7.75”
